It probably would have looked quite strange the other way round, with a colour image and a black and white flag.
By the way, I think you may have missed a comment from me on the Searching from the first DSLR thread.

Yep yer right Murray. I choose to add colour to direct the viewer and to make a statement. I’ll do it again on the 4th.
